Bordered by Canal Street on the north, West Street to the west and Broadway on the east (Tribeca refers to the Triangle Below Canal Street), this area was formally an industrial zone consisting of factories and warehouses. Now home to many celebrities, these former commercial structures have been converted into ultra modern residential lofts, and Tribeca’s confusing alley like streets are now dotted with the city’s hippest restaurants, hotels and nightclubs.
